In collaboration with PTs, HTs and Development Officers, key skills have been identified that the majority of children should be able to achieve by the end of each year group in Literacy. The skills have been mapped against Es and Os and National Benchmarks. This document will support teachers to identify quickly gaps in learning and next steps as pupils return to school.

Gaelic Medium Teachers will need to be aware and recognise that it is important that children and young people maintain, as best they can, their fluency in Gaelic by thinking, listening and talking in Gaelic every day. Key skills for talking and listening in Gaelic have been mapped against Experiences and Outcomes and National Benchmarks.
