Supporting Learning, Teaching and Assessment

For many children the reading and writing process moves fairly smoothly along a path of systematically increasing skills, understanding and functioning.

For others they may seem to be making expected progress but then plateau, whilst others experience persistent problems.

In Highland we are following a three wave model of learning and teaching provision in literacy.

We aim to provide all those involved in the development of children’s literacy skills with a bank of resources that will direct, enhance and encourage them in their important task.
