Literacy Training

Over this session, we will be running a variety of training session covering different aspects of literacy.

It will take you through the process and give ideas of how to use it to suit the needs of your class.
Thursdays 22^nd September 15:45 – 16:45 Repeated: 19^th January 2023 27^th April 2023 15:45 – 16:45	Class Teachers, ASL Teachers	Morphological Spelling	For children with a spelling age of 10 year+, a morphological awareness spelling approach can be useful. We will look at how to deliver this in Primary 6/7 and beyond.
Thursdays 29^th September 2022 15:45-16:45 Repeated: 26^th January 2023 4^th May 2023 15:45-16:45	Class Teachers, ASL Teachers	Phonics from the beginning and as an intervention	In this training, we will look at the teaching of phonics, and how this feeds in to reading, writing and handwriting.
