This month’s ’50 Word Fiction’ from the Scottish Book Trust asks you to ‘Write a story featuring a time traveller.’
The deadline is Tuesday 27th March 2018. The two Young Writers categories are open to all children and young people from 5 to 18.
Celebrate 20 years of ‘Horrible Histories’ on Thursday 22nd March 2018, 11am – 11.40am, with the illustrator of ‘Horrible Histories’, artist Martin Brown, as part of Authors Live for P4 – P7 pupils from Scottish Book Trust.
Authors Live sessions can be watched live, or can be accessed in the Watch on Demand section of the Scottish Book Trust website.

Many practitioners across Highland have attended Words Up: Early – Level 1 training to support adult/child interactoin. The video below has the PowerPoint from the training, alongside the voice of Sharon Smith, Speech and Language Therapist, during one of her training sessions.
We are in the process of creating and will publish a Words Up: Early Training Video which will be able to be used within settings for in-house training as an introduction or for consolidation after attending Words Up! Early Stage – Level 1 Training.
