Neil Gunn Writing Competition 2017

For Primary 5 – Primary 7 Pupils

The local to Highland Neil Gunn Writing Competition is extending its submission date for P5-P7 children across Highland until the end of term (April 5th) to provide schools with the time to get their submissions in. This is a great opportunity for children to create a piece of writing for a competition which celebrates the life of the Scottish writer Neil Gunn.

The theme for P5 – P7 is a quote from Neil Gunn’s writing:
“He was wakened by a loud knocking at the door.”  (The Well at the World’s End)

Children in P5-P7 can write a piece which is inspired by this quote, presented in either poetry or prose.
